The 9717373243 ring is a high-grade NBR 70 Shore O-ring, 32.2 mm inner diameter × 3 mm cross-section, used on the air-end cooler joint of Atlas Copco XATS 138 compressors. It stops oil and air leakage under 10–15 bar pulsation and 80 °C oil mist. When replacing, clean the groove, apply thin compressor oil, and seat evenly to avoid twist.
Problem: Customer reported oil dripping from cooler flange after 1 800 h.
Root cause: Hardened 9717373243 sealing ring lost elasticity.
Solution: ① Stop engine & depressurise. ② Remove cooler end cover (4 bolts). ③ Extract old ring, wipe groove. ④ Install new Hugeminer 9717373243 ring with light oil film. ⑤ Re-torque bolts 45 Nm cross-pattern. ⑥ Run 10 min, recheck—leak gone, oil saving 0.3 L/day.
